Élisabeth Turgeon, Founder

For the realization of this will towards the children of the Diocese of Rimouski, God prepared a wonderful woman of tenderness and solicitude: Élisabeth Turgeon. This woman, with fragile health but with a keen intelligence and a wise and generous heart, was born in Beaumont (Quebec) on February 7, 1840. Her parents, Louis-Marc Turgeon and Angèle Labrecque, provided their nine children with a very solid education.

The Élisabeth Turgeon Center

 Aims to promote devotion to Marie-Élisabeth Turgeon. It serves as a welcoming place for visitors to her tomb, a place of prayer, research, and study in service to the cause of canonization. The Center is open every day. The Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and individuals associated with their Congregation provide essential and enthusiastic collaboration there.
